Reflections on winter break

Well, after nearly a month off from school, it’s almost time to head back! I honestly can’t believe that I’ve only got three semesters of college left…CRAZY. Before I get started on the long arduous task that is packing up my wardrobe, I want to reflect a little on winter break. :)

More than anything, I went skiing over break. For the past three winters, I’ve helped my dad coach the Lowell High ski team. We were out on the hill four days a week racing and running gates. It was great. This years’ team is almost all beginner racers, but they show a ton of progress so far, and I’m so excited for their futures on the team! I also went up to Cannon last weekend with my friend Matt, and we had an amazing time tearing up the mountain.

I read. A lot. For starters, we got tons of magazines in the mail at my house. But, I also started reading the Hunger Games series. I’d definitely recommend the books, as they’re addictive and I can’t put them down…however they’re giving me REALLY strange dreams where I imagine myself in some of the same situations as the characters. That part isn’t fun.

Lastly, I spent a lot of quality with my friends and family, which is the best thing of all. It’s great to come home and unwind after one of the most stressful semesters ever!
